Prairie Drama Academy Club Membership
Prairie Drama Academy considers membership to be a vital part of the arts community. By becoming a member, students have the opportunity to be a part of something that is much bigger than themselves. They will see an increase and improvement of their social experience by meeting new people and enjoying weekly meetings/rehearsals with them. Some find participating in a club helps shed away the shyness and boost up their confidence. Others see it as a means of self expression and a chance to participate on stage. Whatever benefits that each individual takes from club membership, the overall expression of Prairie Drama Academy is a safe environment to be a part of with opportunities to grow and develop their gifts in the arts.
Prairie Drama Academy is not limited to theatre but works with students to develop their gifts in music, dance and all the technical aspects of backstage projects.
Membership includes an open and safe club environment where rehearsals and "hanging out" occur on a weekly basis. As well, students will participate in the development and production of a major musical theatre program. This does not mean they have to be on stage. It means that their gifts and talents will be used to be a part of the larger project.
Prairie Drama Academy is a non-profit organization and as such needs to offer memberships in order to maintain its status. Students are represented on our board of directors, not only by the Executive Producer but also by a Student Representative. In addition to memberships, we take on a variety of fundraising projects throughout the year. Participation is not mandatory but greatly appreciated.
